The Station at Thankerton

This is a great card showing the facilities at Thankerton Railway Station that included a goods yard plus a place to put water in a train’s boiler. Also, there is what appears to be a local train coming through the station.

Thankerton Railway Station opened in February 1848 and was part of the Caledonian Railway. The station closed in January 1965 as part of the Beeching cuts.
